Important Message from Henry Anderson

Dear All,

Right now we’re all focused on Perth City South, and the by-election. Rightly so. We have an outstanding candidate in Pauline Leitch. She will be an excellent Councillor. We have a clear chance of victory. That would take us to 16 versus 16 for the Tories on the Council.

Many of you have been contacted already but, if not, do try to commit some of your time to getting a 16th SNP councillor in Perth.

If possible pop into the Office at 63 Glasgow Road and Elaine Wylie will give you an area to work in with other activists.

On the run up to polling day we need canvassers and we need leafleters. It’s one big effort these last few days that can make the difference.

However, it’s not all campaigning!

We have a fantastic evening event planned in Comrie on Thursday 30th November for St Andrew’s night to help boost Strathearn branch funds, raise everyone’s spirits, and have a bit of fun.

The evening will be held at Comrie Parish Church from 7:30 pm until around 9:30 pm and is open to members and like-minded friends and family, so please invite others. Friends from other branches are especially welcome.

We have as Guest Speaker Robin McAlpine, the Director of ‘Common Weal’, and columnist with ‘Common Space’, who will be talking about campaigning for Independence.

We also have a wee St Andrew’s Night Quiz and a raffle/auction with some fantastic prizes including a signed bottle of whisky. Donations for this are most welcome. There will be hot food snacks and maybe even a wee drink. Please feel free to bring a bottle yourself and enjoy the evening!

If you need a lift to the venue, just let us know and this can be arranged.

Henry Anderson, Convener
