A Vigil, A March and A Bit of Planning.
Our apologies for what must seem like a mini-bombardment of emails this week, but as the Yes movement scrambles to react to Boris Johnson’s Section 30 refusal new events and initiatives are popping up all over the place!
The first new event to tell you about is tomorrow, Friday 17 January, between 3:00 and 6:00 pm at the Scotland Office in Melville Crescent, Edinburgh: a ‘demo and candlelight vigil’ to make it clear to those who would seek to gag Scotland that we won’t be silenced. This National article has fuller details.
The second event is the Yes March in Inverness on Saturday 25 January. Originally intended for those for who last Saturday’s trip to Glasgow might have seemed slightly too distant, it’s now taken on a life of its own. Yes Dunfermline and West Fife is running a bus to the event, and if there is demand may be able to pick up at Broxden. If you’re interested, take a look at their Facebook page for details, and if you’d like to book a seat, contact them directly at jaydeesmithbbm@ cloud.com (close gaps) or on 07787 736857.
Finally, not so much a reminder as a clarification – the Yes Perth City Supporters’ Meeting at 2 pm next Sunday, 19 January, is in the bar area adjoining the Moncrieffe Suite at the Salutation Hotel. We’ve referred to it in earlier communications at the ‘Moncrieffe Annexe’, but that was just us being posh. See you there on Sunday, we hope.
